Carnaval De La Cultura Latina has been held for the past 7 years on Junction Boulevard in Corona, Queens during Hispanic Heritage Month. Corona is recognized for its diverse Latino population with families from Central and South America and the Caribbean. The Carnaval comprises many specialty pavilion areas designed to enrich and foster the Latino community. The pavilions offered an array of activities and interactive experiences with an emphasis on family health and wellness. Our attendees praise the Carnaval for our strong focus on the whole family as well as our commitment to health and wellness through-out the Latino community. This is one of the major reasons why our Carnaval has become the premiere Latino family event during Hispanic Heritage Month, not only in Queens but in all of New York City. The Latino community’s continuous growth has brought new issues to arise especially as those new to the community who want to become a permanent residence. For this purpose, the Dominico American Society assumes the responsibility of the Carnaval; our organization strives to continue to maintain the Carnaval as a way to build the community participation as well as educating people of all backgroundsCARNAVAL de la CULTURA LATINA
